Research

Research and development forms the core of our activities, and is the heart of ancorro. With continual research, the development of new applications and even higher-performing materials for industrial application is guaranteed. As a result of our excellent cooperation with TU Bergakademie Freiberg, we have a state-of-the-art infrastructure at our disposal, with direct connections to experts at Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg and worldwide.

With the ancorro surface treatment, the infiltration and, thus, the corrosion of the refractory by the glass melt is reduced considerably. Reduction of the wear of porous refractories by up to 90% is possible.

Current areas of research and application:

  • Melting processes in ferrous metallurgy
  • Melting processes in non-ferrous metallurgy
  • Refractories without melt contact
  • Cement manufacturing plants
  • Combustion processes
  • Production of other special glasses and melts

ancorro has been researching since 2008
